Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant Celebrates Oktoberfest

Iron Hill Brewery - PhoenixvilleBeginning this Thursday, September 25, at 5:00 p.m., all 10 regional Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant locations will celebrate Oktoberfest with the annual tapping of their signature German-style festival beer and debut of a special Oktoberfest menu, featuring Bavarian-inspired selections that pair perfectly with Oktoberfest and Vienna Red Lager, their award-winning German-style lager.

Oktoberfest will be available on draught while supplies last, and the special menu will be offered, in addition to the regular menu, through Sunday, October 12.

Iron Hill’s Oktoberfest is a traditional German-style festival beer, medium-bodied lager with a wonderfully sweet, malt-y and bread-y aroma and a firm malt flavor, balanced with mild bitterness and a clean, dry finish. It will be available on draught for $6.25 per pint. Vienna Red Lager is a European-style amber lager, medium-bodied with a delicate malt aroma, slight sweetness and a clean, crisp finish. It will be available on draught for $5.25 per pint.

Oktoberfest menu additions will include: Bavarian White Bean & Sausage Soup; Warm Goat Cheese Salad with mesclun greens, pickled golden beets, dried cranberries and walnut-honey vinaigrette; Potato Croquette with sauerkraut, bacon, baby arugula, and house-made applesauce; Black Forest Meatballs with exotic mushrooms, crispy fried onions, and sour cream sauce; Grilled Artisan Flatbread with Applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, gruyere, and horseradish sauce; Schlachtplatte, a grilled butcher’s plate of bratwurst, knockwurst, smoked pork loin, roasted fingerling potatoes, sauerkraut, and stone-ground mustard sauce; Hackbraten, German-style meatloaf with smashed Yukon gold potatoes, beer-braised red cabbage, and hunter sauce; Sauerbraten Pot Roast, marinated in red wine and served with beer-braised red cabbage, spaetzle, and gingersnap gravy; Huhner Schnitzel, pan-fried chicken cutlets with haricots verts and almonds, buttered egg noodles, and lemon-herb sauce; Grandma’s Apple-Golden Raisin Bread Pudding with warm rum sauce and vanilla ice cream.
