Blue Point Brewing Company calls Patchogue Long Island’s shoreline home; but on Saturday, August 29, 2015, the Brewery is packing up its award-winning beers, rounding up the brewers and its seafood educators to bring Blue Point’s boatyard to the Jersey Shore for a day of seafood and beer events.
This event will take place at 105 2nd Avenue in Asbury Park, New Jersey, from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Entrance to the event is free, with both food & beer available for purchase. Seminars – Oyster Shucking & Styling Class, 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.; and Oyster & Beer Pairing, 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – are free on a first-come basis.
Participants are also invited to explore the Jersey Shore on the high seas with a Buoy Cruise that includes a scavenger hunt complete with challenges and Blue Point beer samples and prizes. The cruise will take place from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. with a $10.00 fee, which will be donated to the Monmouth County SPCA and its advocacy efforts to protect animals.
The Blue Point Brewing Company is Long Island’s oldest and most award-winning brewery. Founded in 1998 by Mark Burford and Pete Cotter, Blue Point is headquartered in Patchogue, NY, and its World Beer Cup winning Toasted Lager and 20+ beer lineup are available in 21 states of distribution.
The Blue Point Brewery is located at 161 River Avenue, Patchogue, New York. Free tours are offered on Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Tasting room hours are Thursday – Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, 12:00 noon – 7:00 p.m. Tastings, pints, kegs, packaged beer, growler fills, and Blue Point gear are available for purchase.
