On Sunday, December 13, 2015, from 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., New Jersey artists Barbara Friedman (Freehold), Yimeng Ling (Edison), and Fred Linke (East Brunswick) will host a free opening reception for the winter 2015-16 gallery show at Fiddleheads Restaurant, 27 East Railroad Avenue, Jamesburg, NJ.
The show will include complex watercolors, inks, oils, collages, and acrylics framed and ready for sale, as well as ornate wood carvings from reclaimed Floridian cypress. Also featured will be framed work of nature photographer Jennifer Wiessner of Cumberland, Maine, formerly of East Brunswick, NJ. Fiddleheads has been sponsoring quarterly exhibits of local artists since 2004. Shows are curated by Selena Palmer and Paula Feifer, members of the Suburban Artists’ Guild, which is based in East Brunswick.
Fiddleheads invites the public to “Christmas at Fiddleheads,” a holiday reception to view the show and visit with the artists and the restaurant owners and staff. Complimentary light refreshments, courtesy of the artists and Fiddleheads, will be served during the reception time. The restaurant will not be open for à la carte seating during the reception, but will be open for dinner at 4:30 p.m., at the conclusion of the event. Reservations for the reception are not required.
During the hours of the reception, Fiddleheads will award a $10.00 gift certificate to the restaurant with any framed art purchase over $50.00. Cash and checks are the accepted forms of payment for artwork.
Fiddleheads is a full-service New American bistro now in its 24th year and under new ownership since 2004. The restaurant is open for lunch Wednesday through Saturday, for dinner Wednesday through Sunday, and also serves an à la carte Sunday brunch.
