On Sunday, December 18, 2016, 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., New Jersey artists Betsy Kaplan (Plainsboro), Tonette Campbell (Edison), and Fred Linke (East Brunswick) will host a free opening reception for the winter 2016-2017 gallery show at Fiddleheads Restaurant, New American Bistro, 27 East Railroad Avenue, Jamesburg, NJ.
The exhibit will include complex watercolors, inks, oils, and acrylic ready for sale, and wood carvings from reclaimed Florida cypress. Also featured will be the framed work of nature photographer Jennifer Wiessner of Cumberland, Maine (formerly of East Brunswick, NJ).
Fiddleheads has been sponsoring quarterly exhibits of local artists since 2004. Shows are curated by Selena Palmer and Paula Feifer, members of the Suburban Artists’ Guild, based in East Brunswick.
The restaurant invites the public to “Christmas at Fiddleheads,” a holiday reception, to view the show, visit with the artists and restaurant owners and staff, and to enjoy the Christmas windows decorated by Charles Brown and Paul Jendrzejewski of Ford Evergreen Landscaping in Old Bridge. Complimentary light refreshments, courtesy of the artists and Fiddleheads, will be served during the reception time.
The restaurant will not be open for à la carte seating during the reception, but will open for dinner at 4:30 p.m., the conclusion of the event.
Reservations for the event are not required. Also during the hours of the reception, Fiddleheads will award a $10.00 gift certificate to the restaurant with any art purchase over $100.00. Cash and checks are the accepted forms of payment for the artwork.
Fiddleheads, a full-service New American bistro, is now in its 24th year and under new ownership since 2004. The restaurant is open for lunch Wednesday through Saturday; for dinner Wednesday – Sunday and an à la carte Sunday brunch.
