On Sunday, August 26, 2018, the Gladstone Tavern, 273 Main Street, Gladstone, New Jersey, will “go to the dogs” as it welcomes patrons and their canine companions to enjoy a meal benefiting Home for Good Dog Rescue.
Returning for its twelfth year, the annual “Dine with Your Dog event welcomes guests and their dogs to Gladstone Tavern’s outdoor dining terrace to enjoy the restaurant’s modern take on classic American comfort food – in addition to special “pet-safe” treats, including a special batch of dog-friendly stew and house-made dog biscuits.
“We are so excited to partner with the Gladstone Tavern as beneficiaries of this wonderful event,” noted Home for Good Dog Rescue’s co-founder and treasurer, Richard Errico. “We hope our adopters and all local dog lovers will join us for an afternoon of delicious food benefiting our all-important mission of rescue.”
Home for Good Dog Rescue is a 100-percent foster-based, non-profit dog rescue in Berkeley Heights, NJ. It rescues homeless dogs from high-kill shelters in the South, which are overflowing with unwanted dogs on the brink of being euthanized.
It then socializes, cares for, and provides them life-saving medical care at their property in Aiken, SC, transports them to New Jersey, and nurtures them in their network of foster families while they await adoption into loving homes – giving them a second chance at life.
On Sunday, August 26th, guests will be able to enjoy selections from Gladstone Tavern’s menu, which includes both vegan and vegetarian options, in addition to special “dog-themed” items. A $10.00 donation for admission per dog along with 100-percent of sales from the day’s special canine meals, will benefit Home for Good Dog Rescue.
Lunch service at the 12th annual “Dine with Your Dog” event will be available at 12:00 noon, 2:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m. Dinner seating begins at 6:00 p.m. Space is limited. For reservations, please call (908) 234-9055.
