jeffersonAs I have mentioned in previous blog entries, during the month of September, Lemaire Restaurant in Richmond’s famous Jefferson Hotel is hosting three extraordinary wine dinners.


The third of these will be held on Wednesday, September 30th, 7:00 p.m. Here’s a look at the menu…


Course 1: Scallop Ceviché with Fresh Cilantro, Lime, Spicy Jalapeños, Avocado

Wine: Springseed Unoaked Chardonnay, McLaren Vale, 2008


Course 2: Lemaire Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with Chilled Cucumber, Grilled Red Onion, Cherry Tomato Relish, Baby Spinach, Garden Dill Cream

Wine: Heartland Viognier/Pinot Gris Blend, Limestone Coast, 2008


Course 3: Grilled “Buckhead” Certified Angus Petite Beef Tenderloin with Vidalia Onion and Brie Potato Pancake, Arugula, Strawberries, Bourbon-Pecan Demi-Glace

Wine: Charles Cimicky Tempranillo/Shiraz Blend, Barossa Valley, 2006


Course 4: Pan-Roasted Duck Breast with Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes, Southern Collard Greens, “Gsm” Demi-Glace

Wine: Kaesler Avignon “Gsm,” Barossa Valley, 2006
