“Festival of Peaches” at The Frog and The Peach

frog-and-peach2The Frog and The Peach in New Brunswick, New Jersey, is celebrating its sixth annual “Festival of Peaches,” showcasing different varieties of the fruit in a 5-course tasting menu. The menu will be available 7 nights a week through the peach season, mid- to late-September.


Festival of Peaches 5-Course Tasting Menu:


Chilled Spiced Peach Soup, Basil Chantilly

Wine: Bella Costa Prosecco, Veneto, Italy, NV


Peach Carpaccio, Baby Arugula, Crispy Duck Confit, Prosecco Dressing, Spiced Almonds

Wine: Vouvray, Clos Palet, Loire, France, 2008


Greek Marinated Tuna, Farro, Feta, Grilled Peach, Yogurt

Wine: Stafford Hills Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills, Oregon, 2008


Valley Shepherd Creamery Perlitta, Cow-Sheep Blend Cheese, Peach Butter, Sesame Cracker

Wine: Desierto 25/5 Cabernet Franc, Alto Valle del Rio Colorado, Argentina, 2005


Honey-Roasted Peaches, Almond Cream, Candied Thyme, Salted Shortbread

Wine: PMC Beerenauslese, Münzenreider, Burgenland, Austria, 2006


The cost of the 5-course peach tasting menu is $59.00 without wine; $105 with wine pairings (plus tax & gratuity). The 5-course tasting menu is presented opposite the popular 3-course $29.00 “Frugal Farmer Menu.” Both menus feature produce, poultry, and seafood from the Garden State.
