Pub at Wegmans to Host Book Signing with Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay

On Friday, April 26th, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., the Pub at Wegmans, 50 Foundry Way, Malvern, Pennsylvania, will host a book signing with Food Network’s Bobby Flay to promote his latest cookbook, Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction. In addition, the Pub will serve a Bobby Flay-inspired menu throughout the week leading up to the book signing, beginning on Monday, April 22nd.

“Our guests are huge fans of Bobby’s accessible, family-friendly recipes, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him visit us,” notes Kathy Haines, director of Wegmans in-store restaurants and Market Cafes. “In addition to offering Barbecue Addiction at a discounted price, we’ll also extend a 20% discount off the list price on all his other books, for fans who want to stock up during this special appearance.”

Dishes from the Pub at Wegmans’ Bobby Flay-inspired menu will include: Gulf Shrimp with Spicy Pickled Peach Ceviche, tender shrimp with cucumber, radish and sweet-and-spicy pickled peaches; Spanish “Cuban” Sandwich, thinly sliced pork with Manchego cheese, Serrano ham and baby arugula on toasted Cuban bread; Rib Eye with Goat Cheese and Meyer Lemon Mustard, seared rib eye steak with softened goat cheese, Meyer lemon-honey mustard and roasted fingerling potatoes; Spanish Caesar Salad with Marcona Almonds and White Anchovies, crisp romaine with shaved Manchego cheese, Marcona almonds, white anchovies and a smoky citrus dressing; and Coleslaw with Creamy Cumin-Lime-Dill Vinaigrette, crisp Napa cabbage with julienne carrots, peppers and onions, dressed in a sweet & tangy vinaigrette. Dishes range from $10.00 to $17.00 and will be available all week long, beginning on Monday, April 22nd, culminating in Flay’s visit to the Pub.

On Friday, April 26th, Mr. Flay will be on hand to sign copies of the book, which must be purchased at Wegmans and will be available beginning on Tuesday, April 23rd,for $24.50, a 30% discount. Admission to the signing is free, but space is limited; guests must pick up a voucher at any Wegmans service desk “That’s T.H.E. Ticket” location to reserve a space.

Bobby Flay’s Barbecue Addiction, written by Bobby Flay, Stephanie Banyas and Sally Jackson, is a cookbook inspired by Mr. Flay’s Food Network show of the same name. Featuring everything readers need for a backyard bash, the book includes 150 recipes and 100 color photographs, spanning everything from pitchers of cold drinks to platters of starters to share to inventive sides. The book also includes information such as pros and cons of different cookers, fuels, woods and cooking gear; how to light and tend a fire; how to tell when steaks are done; and Flay’s top 10 tips for the perfect cookout.
