On Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12th, Crystal Springs Resort, Hamburg, New Jersey, will be offering mothers several interesting options… from special menus to a free dessert wine seminar for hotel guests to free golf.

Restaurant Latour will be serving a special five-course Mother’s Day menu from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Fingerling Potato Soup: Main Lobster Tail, Long Stem Garlic, White Truffle; Wine Pairing: Riesling, Eroica, Château St. Michelle, Washington, 2009

Pan-Roasted Atlantic Halibut: Holland Leeks, Spanish Saffron, Humic Island Razor Clams: Wine Pairing: Chardonnay, MacRostie, Carneros, 2008

Valley Shepherd Ricotta Gnocchi: Golden Morels, Spring Peas, Long Steam Garlic Cream

Pork Belly-Wrapped Filet Mignon: Thumbelina Carrot, Roasted Torpedo Shallot, Chive Blossom Croquettes; Wine Pairing: Malbec, Domaine Jean Bousquet, Reserva, Argentina, 2007

Strawberry Charlotte: Chocolate Caviar, Crunchy Pearls, Rhubarb Coulis

The cost of the five-course Mother’s Day menu is $95.00 per person; $130 per person with wine pairings (plus tax & gratuity).

The Resorts Crystal Tavern will be serving a three-course Mother’s Day menu all day, with the restaurant’s à la carte menu also available.

Appetizer: Maine Lobster Bisque, Basil Dumplings

Entrée: Cedar-Roasted Arctic Char, Yellow Pattypan, Toasted Bean Sprout, Lotus Root, Grapefruit Foam, English Pea & Garden Mint Purée


Grilled Filet Mignon, Wild Fiddlehead Fern Risotto, Candy Cane Beef Carpaccio, Crispy Fried Ramp (*Add 4-Ounce Broiled Lobster Tail, $18.00)

Dessert: Banana Split, Banana Parfait, Shaved Chocolate, Strawberry-Rhubarb Sorbet

The cost of the three-course Mother’s Day menu is $55.00 per person; $80.00 per person with wine pairings (plus tax & gratuity).

In addition, mothers staying at Grand Cascades Lodge and Minerals Resort & Spa are invited to attend a free Sunday dessert wine pairing class from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. ($40.00 per person for others). Assistant Sommelier Samantha Shaw will lead the tasting, which pairs three different dessert wines, including a demi-sec Veuve Cliquot Champagne, with desserts.
