Phillips Farms & Zone 7 Dinner at The Frog and The Peach

On Friday, June 28th, 7:00 p.m., The Frog and The Peach in New Brunswick, New Jersey, will host a special dinner based on ingredients from neighbors Marc Phillips of Phillips Farms in Milford, NJ, and Mike Azzara of Zone 7.

Zone 7 is a small distribution company that sources from New Jersey farms and delivers to some of NJ and NY’s best restaurants and groceries. Both Marc and Mike will be present to talk about their passion for bringing farm-fresh products back into our kitchens. Beer, sake, wine: Each course will be paired with a unique glass to best complement the dish.

First Course: Vegetable Summer Roll: Local Lobster, Curry Oil, Black Cumin; Libation: Flying Fish Farmhouse Summer Ale, NJ

Second Course: Barely-Seared Japanese Yellowtail: 8 Roasted Vegetables, Yuzu Aioli; Libation: Chokaisan Ginjo Nigori Nama Sake

Third Course: Swiss Chard Gratin: Poached Egg, Amontillado Sherry Reduction; Libation: Domaine Beaurenard, Rasteau, France, 2010

Main Course: Grilled Griggstown Quail: Burned Carrot Purée, Kale Pesto, Spiced Walnuts; Libation: Westrey Pinot Noir, Willamette, Oregon, 2010

Dessert: Puff Pastry Fruit Tart: Sorbet, Sabayon; Libation: Masachs “Mas Fi” Cava Rose NV, Spain
