Terre à Terre Hosts “Swine & Wine” Dinner

Terre a Terre - ChefOn Wednesday, June 17, 2015, 7:00 p.m., Terre à Terre, 312 Hackensack Street, Carlstadt, New Jersey, will kick off its Supper Club series with a “Swine & Wine” dinner, which will feature a five-course menu paired with wines from NJ-based Unionville Vineyards. Each course will feature pork, the star ingredient of the evening.

The “Swine & Wine” themed dinner is part of the restaurant’s Supper Club series. In addition to evenings of gastronomic delights and meaningful connections with other dedicated foodies, members of the Supper Club will also have access to an ever-evolving array of handpicked special offers, special tours and trips to the restaurant’s farm partners, great chefs and speakers, and special ingredients and foods from around the region.

The “Swine & Wine” menu will feature Sfoglini Pasta, a Brooklyn-based producer of small batch, freshly made pastas from the finest organic semolina four produced in America.

The featured producer of the evening will be Nicolosi Pork. The company works with small family farms pigs, which are slow raised with no steroids or growth hormones and free to roam outdoors the way nature intended. Amuse: Pork Rilette Crostini; Wine Pairing: Pinot Grigio

First Course: Chorizo and White Bean Soup; Wine Pairing: Fields of Fire Rosé

Second Course: Sfoglini Pasta with Pork Fennel Sausage; Wine Pairing: Pinot Noir Reserve

Third Course: Smoked Pork Loin; Wine Pairing: Cam Jam

Fourth Course: Braised Crispy Pork Belly; Wine Pairing: The Big O

Fifth Course: Applewood-Smoked Bacon & Maple Bread Pudding; Wine Pairing: Dessert Wine Cocktail
